The City of Newman is currently planning to open its new Aquatic Center in 2011.
Other recreational resources include bird watching, trap shooting, hunting, fishing and canoeing on the San Joaquin and Merced Rivers. Boating, fishing, and picnic grounds are available at both San Luis Reservoir and Hatfield State Park. The City is also home to a community theatre and many social and service clubs; including a historical society and museum. |
